Thumbs up Toyomoto Header -VS- Top speed Pro 1 Performance Header

Which of these two headers do you think is better? For the difference in cost is there that much of a quality difference or was it just a sellers market for Toyomoto. Also what type of problems are the going to be with the Pro 1 -VS- Toyomoto I know if you install the Toyomoto correct you will not get a ce light. what about the Pro 1.

there are alot of Q's about the Pro-1... I think we need an independent DYNO test of both and see what numbers we come up with...

Has any one seen both of these headers? Is one of much better quality then the other one. I mean the wall thickness and what is the quality of the welds. I had heard that some people were hearing leaking noise from the toyomoto. But I was woundering if this was due to them not being installed correctly everyone thinks they did it right but did they.

I wish I didn't live in Wisconsin nobody here does any thing to there IS 300 execpt a few body parts. If I could see them first hand I would be able to see which is better. I will have to try to find both may be someone in Chicago has one of each. Do you know if they both come with the o2 sensor box or is that only toyomoto header

If I find any information I will keep you posted

Thanks EmoDragRacer

What I've heard is that they are actaully one and the same. That is, they both are sourced from a particular manufacturer in Asia.

The price difference is because the Toyomoto comes with two pieces (both header and B-pipe (replaces main cat), whereas the pro-1 on comes with the hearder portion and retains the stock B-pipe.

I saw the pic of the pro 1 from the people who got it from the .net group buy and it came with both as well. I have a feeling that it is how Toyomoto takes care of the CE light from the O2 sensor but I am not sure.

I am selling those toyomoto headers for the IS300. If anyone is interested, e-mail me at jchen1@***.net

I am selling the chrome headers for $460 shipped anywhere within the continental US.

I have actually purchased both sets and put them side by side. They are the same. They have the exact same bends and everything. THe only difference is that the Toyomoto headers comes with the o2 sensor computer. In fact I think the box my toyomoto headers came in had the Pro 1 sticker on it.

Hahaha, I guess that means that both Pro 1 and Toyomoto have outsourced the production to the same company.

Well actually I never put either of them on yet. I just wanted to evaluate the design. I compaired them to a true header for the IS 300 that was developed for some high end race cars. I did find flaws in the Pro 1 / toyomoto header. However, for the price of the headers there are gonna be flaws. The header that I compaird the Pro 1 to cost $4,000.00 It is a 3 piece header for the is 300. The Pro 1 around $550.00 it is a two piece header and you get around 15 rear wheel horse gain. Not bad at all for the price!@! with the $4,000.00 system you might get around 30 to 40 rear wheel. I will definately buy the Pro 1 header for that price.

I think you are right. Then all you need to do is buy the o2 fix from Toyomoto and use the Pro 1\Toyomoto Header and you will not have a CE light and spend the least amount of money for the most gain. But $4000.00 for a Header WoW for that cost I would supercharge or bank for a turbo
