Been looking for a clean older Lexus for quite a while now. I was thinking LS400 or ES300, but was open to anything really. I didn't give much thought to an IS300 since a nice clean one is seems to be hard to find, and if you do they are pricey. Then, last week, I found this car. Its an 03 SportDesign with 87k miles. One owner with all records. Still under Lexus warranty. All maintenance up to date, and it seems like all the usual stuff that goes wrong with these cars has been replaced. I also got a great deal and couldn't pass it up.
Let me know what you think.

My camera doesn't do the car justice. Plus, it was the wrong time of day to be taking pics. However, believe it or not, it has been raining practically every weekend in sunny Arizona. I believe we have already received more rain than we do in the average year. I wanted to atleast get a couple pics up.
Whats funny is that the seller did not have any pics. He said it was "silver". He also failed to mention it was a SportDesign. I was very surprised when I saw the car in person. It really is in great condition, and all original. I think that for now I will keep it that way.

Looking back through the records, I must say that the Lexus warranty is great. They covered alot of stuff, including things that I wouldn't think they would. If you are someone who likes to take great care of your car, its a good deal. Anything goes wrong, just take it in and get it fixed. Lexus is very proud of their parts, and things can get very expensive very quick.

The "Great Lexus Warranty" is really up to the dealer for the most part. The difference between a great dealer and everyone else is service. I would imagine that this is the reason more things were covered than you might expect.

I agree. I have a great relationship with the service department at the Toyota store. Toyota "goodwilled" $15,000.00 worth of work on my 03 Prius that was out of warranty. I always try to take care of my service writers and they have always taken care of me. I do think that Toyota is very liberal with covering things.

Yeah, and the funny part is the guy didn't even put that in his ad!
When he pulled up, I was surpised. Alot of the Sportdesigns that I have seen have they grey interior too, not the black. A friend of mine did not want an automatic, so he had to go to Atlanta to get the car he wanted. He bought a certified 04 Sportdesign manual with only like 30,000 miles.
I picked this one up for $9,400.00, which I thought was a very good deal considering this car really is almost perfect. What do you think of that price?
