Default Almost done with custom radio trim

Letting the paint dry now, it's a special VHT paint that has texture when dry.

Still working on the finish/texture, but almost got it

(I have two of these USDM McIntosh's by the way, I'm not taking it in and out of the car, LOL)

man. Install kits are about $10. a lot of effort there for minimal savings.

It turned out pretty good, but I'm going to make a new one with a false cover to hide the radio completely.

I've actually used two. Scosche and the JDM double din. The Scosche kit fit better with logical mounting points. I hated the JDM dash kit because I always felt someone could have things apart too quickly in a situation where they were going to steal my radio.

Interested in pics of the false cover set-up!
