This question is directed more towards the IS300 Owners.
I'm seriously thinking about trading in my 3000GT for an IS300. I test drove one and liked it.... Only thing I'm going to miss is the Performance(Speed isn't everything) and the Attention I get from the girls while driving my car. I mean Everywhere I got I always meet someone new wether it just be a car euthuisest or a girl that loves my car. But I don't if the IS300 is an Attention Grabber and how fast do these cars get when they get broken in?? B/c I test drove a 5-speed and it seemed really weak on power and I'm talking slower than my Dads GS300. But in 2nd gear it did let out a Nice Chiiiirrppp. which brought a smile to my face.

I got a 5speed in graphite grey pearl and it is a real eye turner. Anytime I'm getting out of my car people comment to me about how nice the car and color looks.

Speed wise it's ok. It handles great and has good pickup in all gears.

I have had a Z28 that ran low 13's, and my IS runs around 15 flat. I still enjoy driving the IS better though. It just feels nicer and definetly turns more eyes.

It's the only car I've ever owned that has had complete strangers roll down their windows to tell me how nice my car looks. But I'm not sure how the "girls" feel, as I'm a bit too old, and too married, for that to matter.

What are some minor mods I can do to the IS300 To get it running low 14s in the 1/4?

Where do you people live??? I love the IS, but i dont even get stares or comments in my GS430... Every once in a while someone will stare at it, but thats pretty rare. I wish people commented on it more.

People always look at my car while I'm driving, but that's b/c it's 3 different colors. lol But hopefully when I get it fixed, it'll still turn heads.

well i got a LS4 and i did some mods to it and seeing i live in New York ( BRONX ) i get those stares,the *****es and everything else that is expected...i hate the honda guys that rev up their engines to show off...

IS300's get quit a bit of attention. So do LS's, SC's, and especially my GS. Many many many many times people comment on my car. In fact the other day, I heard it 3 times. Valets love it. Chicks really love it.
Most importantly, I love it.

Get the chrome stockers or upgrade to some other wheels to really get noticed.

Probably because it is stock and looks identical to all the housewives in their bone stock GS300s. Throw some dubs on it, drop the suspension, limo tint, and some mean exhaust and you're guaranteed looks. Hell, even I get looks in my near-stock SC400.

i love my IS.........i get the looks, the comments, the stares, i get it all here in the bay area, plus u have more respect from other driver's as well, like civics and bimmers. it handles great and mods aren't a prob, and it's at a pretty reasonable price for a lexus!
