im looking to get some wheels for my is300. i dont want to drop it but i want to close the wheel gap some. so i was thinking of gettin 19"s. if anyone has pictures to share, please post with the specs so i can get an idea. THANX!

 

A nice set of drop springs will make whatever you decide on look WAAAYY bettter

 

Spring only is not good man... better get a coilover, would be more expensive but drive much better.

 

we all have our different opinions, i think springs are better personally thats just me. ive always heard with coilovers your car is always really bouncy. and as far as springs go, if you get springs they will be the same height as the stock springs, but will compress down more when on the car. the way the coils are made on lowering springs are different than factory coil springs, thats why aftermarket ones sit down lower.

 

im a fan of springs because they bare more pocket friendly at the moment. plus it helps me get an idea of what i can do wheel wise. I could care less about ride. im not in it for how it ride i just love how they look

19's will fill your wheel well pretty good
but if you are not lowered it will look kinda half azzed

Here are a couple pics I found on here with people rocking 19"s with stock height.
Not too bad actually..

 

You can change the stiffness and make it ride soft to get rid of the bounce.

It seems like those 19s raised the car more, maybe thats just me. Not a fan though.

Either way, to fill the gap, you are going to have to drop it.



Best option if you want to save money.............. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

 

18" will still have a 2-3 finger gap at stock height, I'd recommend dropping it.
