Timing belt DIY coming soon
Ok, so as I said this last week that I was going to do my timing belt this weekend, well today I did my timing belt, cam seals, crank seal, timing belt tensioner, idler pulley, drive belt and ngk iridium plugs and carquest wires. the only thing I did not do is water pump, which isn't too bad to replace if it goes out since it isn't timing belt driven, and the automatic tensioner for the drive belt, which is very easy to get to if it goes out. but the bad news, my camera died and my charger was at home and I was at my shop doing all the work to my car, so I can only provide a step by step guide to doing it but no pictures. so please guys let me know if you still want me to put a DIY, and if just the step by step instructions will help or not. thanks.

ok guys i will write up something on paper and get a DIY up. I bought all of my stuff from carquest, and got everything in the blue brand for around $200, which was a discounted price since me and my brothers run a mechanic shop here in Harrisonburg, Va

To all who may have been wondering about this DIY I was going to do, I pretty much decided to scrap the idea and decided not write up the DIY due to these 3 reasons.
1. I have been pretty busy and never got a chance to get it all down on paper before I wrote a DIY on it.
2. In a way it really isn't a DIY unless you have the proper tools and knowledge.
3. I was not able to get pictures throughout my process, so the DIY would only be text, text=boring lol and everyone wants pictures, they don't want to read this long book on doing an IS300 timing belt job lol, I know I'm the same way lmao.

I did remove the readiator, I also removed the a/c condenser because I used a 3/4" impact to remove the crank bolt, but you may be able to use a breaker bar, just have to try it and see.

haha trust me a 3/8 isn't gunna crack that bolt loose. and I would also say probably 9 times out of 10 a 1/2" won't either, those crank bolts are on the tight as h***. Need at least a 3/4" impact or if its a manual, put it in gear and use a braker bar, which if I had done that with mine I wouldn't have had to take my a/c condenser out, but oh well. I didn't run into any probelms. It went very smooth and runs a lot better after the timing belt and plugs and a wire set.
