ON POINT. i also forgot to mention that i got into a minor wreck. i hit a BIG rock (usually placed in people's front yards as a decor) the result was a cracked front bumper and a bent chassis. the chassis was pulled straight by a professional body shop, and then after another body shop did the paint. and while they did the paint, they pressure washed my engine bay and accidentally got water in my engine (coil pack, spark plugs were wet)... this all happened within a year i believe. one of the worst year my lexus has ever gone through.
well its my day off today so i cant check for you right now on how to test ur connector. but body shop??? that always throws up a red flag. they do body, not engine mechanical or electrical. i get countless number of cars that came from a body shop and do some weird things.

i get countless cars as well that a body shop attempted to do stuff to it and did a very poor job, they will start cutting and splicing wires and re wiring stuff, sometimes just unhook stuff and tuck the wires, and all kinds of different stuff it is an absolute disaster.they just dont want to cut into their profits if they have to take it to a mechanic shop to fix the electrical and mechanical parts, so they attempt to do it their self.

At the end of the day, it's best to leave it for the Pro's to fix it. $250 or a messed up car?
