Default I'm back...IS300 to IS-F to Sportcross

I have come full circle. I decided to sell my 09 IS-F after the birth of my second child. I bought the car the same month my wife got pregnant so the timing wasn't perfect. I miss the power and elegance of the F, but I am enjoying the simplicity of my new to me Sportcross!

From this: 2003 IS300

To this: 2009 IS-F

To this: 2002 Sportcross, 82K miles, one owner!

I already tinted the windows 20% all the way around. I ordered a BORLA catback, JOE-Z intake and AFE drop in today. I can't wait! More pics to follow!

Let me be the first to say.........

Hah but seriously, congrats on having a second rug muncher.
Sucks about the ISF though, too bad they don't make a wagon version yet

^LOL!!

Sucks that you had to get rid of the F. Was a third gen GS not a financially reasonable option with the trade in/selling of the F? Maybe it's just me, but I'd have a hard time going backwards in terms of features. Also, congrats on the new kid! And as long as you're loving the wagon, who cares what I think

It wasn't an easy decision. But if I was going to get rid of the F I wanted an IS300 Sportdesign or Sportcross. I drove a few IS250's and it would have been even harder trading down to one of those. The thing that I like about the Sportcross is that there are not many around. I see more IS-F's around town than Sportcrosses. I looked at many other makes and models also, but just couldn't make the move away from Lexus. I only owed 16K on the F so the best decision was to find a clean older Lexus and take the money left over back to the bank. I loved my other first gen IS300...so I knew that I would really like this one too. Don't get me wrong...the F was absolutely incredible. I loved getting behind the wheel every time, the seats, the rumble of the V8, the interior and on and on. I will start looking for another one in about 4 years!!!

I'm sure it wasn't an easy one, but you made a good one by getting an older Lexus and taking the money and putting it in the bank, especially since you have a kid coming.

Like everyone said, you have your prioities right and the IS300 sportcross you got is not a bad one at all! Good luck with it and your family.

you probably made the right move considering all the recall headaches the gen2s have. plus ive never been a fan of the big nose on the ISF. yes its faster but i dont consider it an upgrade.

Congrats on the new baby. Look at it this way, all it takes is another 3-4k to do a clean na-t setup that'll keep up if not take IS-F's .... p.s, if you ever want to sell your bumper+fogs for w/e reason, shoot me a p.m =)

somewhat good analogy but no where close lol!

But I get what you're saying!

But IMHO I dont see the IS300 being a downgrade. Sure its no ISF but its no where near as bad as a civic. Now if he went from all that to a corolla (although the 11s are nice) I would be worried
