What is your HID COLOR TEMP?
What temp you guys use for HID's?
I took out my stock 4300k and put in 5000k pure crystal white. Now I seem to have effectively the same lumens, but the pure white doesn't reflect back well. I knew that color temp would affect the amount of light that is reflected and returned, but I thought just stepping to 5000k wouldn't be so bad. The 4300 definitely pushes out more juice.
What are you guys running?

Still running 4300's myself. I've stepped up to 5k and 6k. Now I'm back to the 4300k for the same reason as you. Now I'm running 6k's in my 4runner with a retrofit and I'm pleasantly happy with the performance of the bulbs but I think a lot of it has to do with the projectors performance. I'm sure if I threw some 4300 in the projectors the light output would be significantly better and reflective.

I just got some ebay 6k's
I've always liked that hint of a blue tint. My stock lights were going bad so I can't compare them to much, but I'm liking these. They light up the road well, but one thing I've noticed is how far away things like signs and reflectors pick up that blue hint. A speed limit sign that seems to be out of the range my lights reach on the road will still be lit by the blue and is very easy to read.

^^^Same as Shadowen. I bought a pair of 10k's from egay. They call them "Crystal Blue" which I see it as more of a aqua blue. Driving in PA there is always a barrier on the turnpike and my lights reflect off that barrier like crazy. Like Shadowen said about the signs, I could be 100yds out and that sign lights up blue. I have had them for about a year and i could slightly notice a lumens drop but you get what you pay for on ebay. I paid $15
