ive read general rule of thumb for salvage tittle is find the value of a clean title then take 60% of that number. thats your price. use kbb.com nada edmunds.com or even autotrader to get an idea of what the value should be.
before you buy you should talk to your insurance company about it. some companies wont insure salvage (rebuilt) title cars. some states wont even allow them on the road. also think about resale. its going to be hard to sell later on down the road.

7.5 is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much..
I don't know why people are afraid to shop for cars outside of their local area..
I live in philly and took a train (4 hrs) up to Boston to get my current IS.
At the time I couldn't find a white one, also the price and mileage was just too good to pass up!
If I find a supra or 2IS that I love, for a great price, I will fly to california or wherever to get it.
Am I just crazy or something?

ThAts a lil 2 much but people stop talking down on salvage ESP if u don't have firsthand experience w them, I have a salvaged is and it's fresh little bad boy, I've fixed it up and it's in tip top shape and it's coming from somebody's whose **** about his cars,

That is extremly high... I just got an 01 SBM IS300 with 78k for $3200 and all it needed was front and rear bumpers cause they were scuffed. check www.salvagedirect.com.
