I know this is probably a stupid suggestion.
But did you press the button in the middle that says AC and is the light lit up?

A couple times I thought my AC had died.
Even one time when I brought my car to the mechanic for oil change he thought the AC died too when he pulled my car out of the shop. But it was that the AC button wasn't pushed in so the fan was just blowing but the AC compressor wasn't on.

its a leak. or your mechanic was an idiot and put too much in. if you have too much it wont blow cold either and is very dangerous for your system. way too much pressure

There could be any of a number of issues. As someone said above you may have too much refrigerant inside the system especially if you have been adding and adding. Or you may have a leak and leaks are not usually easy to find. Unfortunately AC issues usually require a certified tech to look at the car. You likely have a leak but it could be a messed up expansion valve or faulty condenser fans or many other issues. You should have it looked at. I do not recommend the do it yourself refrigerant. That is just quick fixs that dont last. Hope this helps some.

yes it is possible but not likely that it is weak as much as it is for one to jut finally go out.
