02 is300 125k miles
#5
Kokakola,
Dude, 125,000 miles on a modern Toyota-based product is nothing in the pantheon of high-mileage cars! My '01 IS300 is currently pushing 110,000 miles and thus far I've only had to perform routine maintenance. Oh, and routine mods
$7,000 for a stick-shift IS300 is a more than reasonable price for an example that has a clean title and has had a solid routine maintenance record. I would perform a CarFax in order to confirm that the title is clean and free of any unscrupulous activity. Additionally, I wouldn't concern myself too much with the o2 sensor. I just bought a $140 OEM replacement o2 sensor for my IS from lexuspartsnow.com so it's not that expensive of a part. Additionally, replacing the o2 sensor is a relatively easy job requiring a mere hour or so to perform the job. I suppose that if the owner is mechanically inept though you could use the fact that the o2 sensor has to be replaced to haggle the price down a bit..

yeah i want a salvaged/rebuilt 5spd is300 for 4k
never gonna happen you dreamers and inet noobs
depends on how bad the accident was , i with my own eyes seen wrecked 5spd is's go for more
if body panels are straight, no water damage, no frame, the car should be good to go
severely wrecked cars dont get fixed up, the labor cost alone would buy u a nice clean one

Rebuilt is not worth $7k. Prices will vary depending on region. Will also depend on when it was totalled out and for what reason + how it was repaired. I've seen ppl call themselves mechanics who should never be allowed to pump gas let alone rebuild a car. Including those who run their own shops.
Has the water pump, timing belt, spark plugs etc been done? Tranny flush? shocks? bushings endlinks balljoints? stuff to think about at that mileage.
