Vinyl Wraps .. Yay or Nay??
#26
i actually have a 2003 MSM with a di-noc CF 3M vynil wrap on my roof and mirrors. I get compliments every time i go to the carwash, and yes i go through the drive thru car washes with the rollers and everything.
So far i have had it about a year in san diego weather which can reach 100+F, but mostly is in the 80-90s. As far as scratches, its really not that easy to see them especially on the roof, i do coat the vynil with dressing like armorall periodically.
I will post a few pics when i get home since i am at work right now..

I have to put my two cents in here... wrapping stuff in Carbon fiber vinyl - isn't that a little ricer-ish... I mean, we all know its not real carbon fiber...
and you could probably get the whole roof painted for $200-$300 and that be a lot more permanent than vinyl...

You have a point but to me I always thought cf in good taste doesn't have to be real ricer... I'm more for the look .. I'm kinda apposed to two tone paints a lot of "gangster" and "thugs" do that so I wouldn't want to paint it also paint is permanent and what if I want to original again in 6-12months then there is another 300+ bucks I have to pay to repaint it .. good point tho I just wnt to test it n see it first
