Hi all, newb here...
just picked up my is300 last week, but have been browsing the forums a while...
Went from a camaro to a dsm to a 240sx to an evo 8, now im in a 1is...
Salvage title, ugly as sin, has glittery black paint, stock front bumper thats split, cheapo depot side skirts and rear bumper... Needless to say, it needs WORK...
Im a toyota tech in bossier la..
So far, k&n drop in filter was oil soaked, so had to clean the maf- car ran like crap.
Alignment was WAY off ( cruise switch was at 11 oclock) so alignment.
Replaced the tires
Upper radiator hose was bulging, replaced and used the red toyota coolant instead of the green that was in there.
Fixed the evap leak
Zip tied the front bumper to the radiator support - lmao
Gonna be putting it on a frame machine in a few days...
Put new floormatts in...
New radiator cap...
Oil change...
Ill hve owned the car a week 2moro...
Ready to get the repairs behind me, looking to go aristo swap or gte bottom end... Def wana keep the vvti... Holset he351ve turbo, and a budget build turbo kit... Really want to see 400-450whp on pump and a little over 500 on race gas... This car is/will be my daily...
