I'm looking at picking up this kit from a local guy here he's asking $950 for it, does that seem like a bad choice still?

I'm sure its alright, so long as you aren't going for a ton of power and know that things might not be perfect with it, requiring some customization and a bit of knowledge to make it work right...

i don't think that gt/t28 turbo is sized right for the 2jz. I had a gt28 on my civic that felt right, but an extra two cylinders and 1.4 more liters idk, I would save the money.

there is a difference between a t28 and a GT28...

t28's generally flow around 450 cfm of air, maxed out, which generally equates to around 300 hp...

GT28's can flow between 535 and 635 cfm, depending on which GT28 we are talking about, which could mean 325 to 375 or even potentially a little more...
