is300 vs gs300
yes making one here, just want more opinions.
I get bored with cars easily sometimes. the is300 is awsome, very nimble, overall great car. before buying the is, was considering the GS300 as well. now kinda wanting the gs300. dont know exactly why. here is a few question. maybe some of you have dealt this same dilemma. i dont mind keeping the is. when i see a GS, "i want that". same feeling i had when i didnt have the IS and saw an IS, "i want that".
ive sat in the back seat of a GS, to me its same space as in the back of the IS. am i wrong? is it same space?
gas mileage. fuel light on, fill up full 15 gallon, from full to fuel light, city driving, im getting 300 miles, avg 20mpg. i fill up when lights on, i dont drive it another 20-50 more miles on the light. probably a little less with the gs300?
any pros and cons?
any advantage the GS over the IS?
say anything about why i should keep the is300 or sell and get the gs300.
thx!

only con in having a gs300 is if you live in california 714 area, every freaking asian (im asian too) has a vip out gs300, its soooooo over played now. Dont get me wrong i still respect the car but everyone has the same set up its not even different anymore, is300 on the other hand not many fix it up, and when someone does its really unique and different.

It's all up to you.
If you like stiff and sporty. Keep the IS300
If you like plush luxury & class. Get the GS300
Here in Philly/NY most people that have GS300 are black.
I don't know why, that's just the way it is.
And sometimes they have huge ugly chrome rims and not lowered at all.
But when you see a nice classy GS300 that's lowered nice with some nice rims, then it's usually a white or asian dude.
These are my friends - philly bobby (white dude)
king ty (he's like indian or something)
andre pham (azn)
martin (fob azn)
chris gs430 (white boy)
yeah i know a lot of guys with gs300's I used to have one too

I'd much rather get a 01+ gs430. Although it's not as capable as the 2jz in the gs300, the V8 is the right amount of power I would need. It also had a better interior than the gs300. MPG wise, the gs430 gets about 1mpg less then the gs300.

Ask urself if u want a car that comes auto and stick or just auto... Remember, auto trans are expensive to fix! I do like the gs300 but I would be tempted to swap it with a manual trans..but everybody's different..except if ur in the 714 area apparently lol

I like them both. My friend's GS made me want one for a while, but I feel like the IS is more versatile as far as styling. You can go race/stanced/and even seen some nice VIP inspired IS'. The GS isn't necessarily one-sided, but it's more of a VIP/EXE car to me. If I had the choice, I'd get them both and have the best of both worlds.

haha ya i dont want a manual is or gs. i prefer auto. people ask why i didnt get a manual is300? 1. hard to find. 2. past 4 cars been manual, dont find the "fun" of manual on a lexus. its meant for cruising. not really for speed. but its fast enough imo. and there is traffic.
