Man did I enjoy this thread, as I've long been a WRX fan. Yes, you CAN make them look sweet and it's easy to make em hella fast.

My "project" for the past 6 months has been my Lex RX3, and I've often wondered if I wouldn't have been happier in a WRX instead... I wanted AWD for Wisconsin winters AND the ability to tow my boat, but I'm almost starting to consider selling the RX to put a little W in front of it.

Ahhh, what to do - I'm a huge car guy, but I have a painful addiction to fishing and hunting, therefore the towing ability and extra room of my RX is beneficial, but I really like the WRX. Plus I've already put quite a bit of $$$ and time into modding my RX3.

Thanks to this thread, I'm really seriously considering selling my RX3 for a used WRX... I can only have one car as that's all I can afford/justify at this point in time. Am I out of my mind?

CK1_RX3 - Well you will be giving up the luxury of the RX300...I mean there are few things you will be loosing by going to the WRX but there are other advantages (which you have pretty much covered)...plus the WRX is a LOT more fun to drive than an RX300...

Yeah, I could definately be happy with a WRX... Or an IS3... Or the new 350zx... Hell, there's even things I find really cool about the Cooper Mini (especially the "S"), but then I'd have to dress up like Austin Powers all the time and that would get old.
Anyways, no rash decisions - I think I'll ponder this one for a year and just enjoy my boring RX for what it is...

I like The 2010 Subaru Hatch But the only thing I do hate about WRX STi is no matter what exhaust you put on them they sound the same in the end

I think its funny when owners mod there lame cheap subbie's and you can hear the bov go off everytime their auto shifts its sounds so cheap and lame. I do know some real cool subbie owners but have also run into some real d-bags that think their little baby turbos and 4wd will beat everything they had to get the smack down laid on them before they shut their pie holes.

Not a car i would own its just not something i am interested in but they can be pretty nice and fast.
