Question Sooo

Soo the W55 is good for around 350hp and the W58 is good for anything 500hp and below?

It all depends on how you drive. There are a few ppl i know that is making around 400 on the W55. They drive normal and don't really abuse the tranny. So its pretty much comes down to how your going to drive.

Yeah I've been going into boost smoothly and barley full throttle to pursere tranny yes it's all how u drive the car...

Question How you drive

i can tell you right now i have a HEAVY foot..half the time..is there a difference in the W55 & W58? What is a decent price that these trans go for?

I'm not too sure but the w-58 is prob in the hundreds but if ur gonna do the tranny I reccomend R-154 it's more pricey but will hold power 450hp and up

Listen.... More than 350hp you will need a tranny. If you want to swap in a GTE engine I hope you have $10,000 laying around

Ill add a lil something into the mix. Instead of piecing parts together and spending a BUTT load of time and $ finding parts. Just buy the whole thing ALREADY TOGETHER and ready to drop in.

Good link but i think its the wrong year for our IS300's You need the link i posted. Saves alot of work in swapping the harness etc. I didnt even see you link posted till i scrolled up im on the cell sorry lol.

They dont just drop in..... Read more. $10,000 to get a stock motor running (no more than 400hp) until you upgrade (alot more $$$). Your stock motor with bolt on turbo will do that. I spent less than $2k on a used turbonetics kit that can easily put out 400hp
