Just got these back from the shop today. I'm going to be working on a vip inspired look.

Before: These were ridiculously rashed and the lips were in pretty bleak shape. I wish I had better photos of the condition.

After: All the rash was welded and ground smooth and the lips were mirror polished.

Crappy phone pics, but you get the idea.

Tires will be swapped and going on hopefully this week, which means my Kranze's will be for sale!

I went to a rim repair shop and the guy is a metal worker/ welder. I just call it refinishing or rash removal. Before you go spending the money for someone else to do it, check this thread out.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/aut...ix-it-now.html

I would have done it myself, but the rash was way too deep and needed to be professionally repaired.

Good luck

Thanks, I'll have them on tomorrow morning I'm going to run 215/40 and 225/40. That's plenty stretch for me, my lips need a little protection from these harsh streets lol

i have 215/40 on my front which is 8.5 as well is not too much of a stretch and I actually have to pull my front a bit! Also I am camber -1.6 in the front! The rear is 235/35 sits perfect with -2 camber and a small pull to my fender! What kind of work did you have to go though to make them fit?? Btw before my vsxx I was looking into rims that look like that but the one i was looking at the fitment was weak so you are in someway are making your IS into something I originally imagine!

Nice, thanks for the reference! My fronts is -2 and my rears are sitting at around -3. I'd like to bring it back up, I'm not into excessive camber for no reason. I have a flat roll on all four corners as of now. I hope they just fit in no worries, but if not, I'll be calling up someone to pull them a bit. I also may take the opportunity to go a bit lower in the rear while I'm at it I don't remember your wheel specs, but if I remember correctly, they're pretty wide and semi-aggressive? Have you ever had any rubbing on the rear mounting bracket from the bumper? The screw head on the bracket has shredded off a bit of my tire near the upper sidewall. I hope my IS lives up to your expectations! lol

Bahahaha I am sure it will!! But no rubbing at all in the rear! Front 18x8.5, 18x10 +20 but I'm on 35 series tires in the rear! Although the front rub from now and than!
