Post Tranny Swap

I got an 01 Auto 300 i wanna swap it to a MT 5spd....need pointers & advice....maybe a place to go to that would have what i need....besides the clutch place, ecu, tran itself, wut else will i need....? Any suggestions & direction would be greatly appreciated...p.s. i want to swap in a GTE non-vvti after the 5spd but id like to swap in the 5spd first....n continue using the engine i got for while...btw is a non-vvti hard to come by?

Id go V160 six speed from the Supra. Check out SRT and ask for Mo. Your looking at easy 10,000 for new one
V160 , good twin carbon clutch and misc parts slave cylinder drive shaft, linkage, tripod, crossmember etc.

Thats if you do the work your self.

where can i find misc tran parts at? & thx but i think ill just stick with a R1000 or W55 err whatev you know of any place where i can find a R1000 for a decent price?

R1000? do you mean R154? The tranny our cars take are W55 W58 R154 & V160. I would recommend a R154 or W58 or you'll be swapping another one when you boost. Why use a GTE motor when you already have a 2J in your car? Just get the GTE internals and call it a day. While your in there throw in some Stage 2 BC cams

Go with a R154 because the W58 doesnt hold power well.

where do i find GTE internals for a decent tag? i was lookin at pistons and heads wheww boyee expensive! what internals do i really need and which can i go without?

iam definitely going with a R154 i want a 6-speed....but where can i get one at for a decent price and maybe with other stuff i might need....& if i just get the tranny where do i get the other stuff ima need to switch from Auto to Man?
