Hello, I'm Ron from the SF/Bay Area in California.
I own an IS300 and I love it. Used to own a 2004 BMW 330i with the ZHP package and I love my IS300 more than that bimmer.
The other cars I use to own were a 1993 Nissan 240sx completely tuned to a track car for autocross and drifting and a 1997 Nissan 240sx also used for autocross/drifting, but more street drivable and less prone as a cop magnet. Sold them both (very glad too...and so does my wife) and moved on to another RWD manual platform. I was only going for Nissan or Toyota (Lexus).
The mileage is where it should be for a 2002 and I plan on adding my authentic (not reps) L-Tuned sides skirts and other suspension and bracing parts.
I just installed a pair of Figs hood prop, battery tie down bar, TRD badgeless grill, and Fortune Auto shift ****, I still have other parts waiting for me to install so I'll post pics after the paint and body work has been completed.
Let's see other interest are, I enjoy going to the range both gun range and golf. I don't like playing 9 or 18 holes I rather just practice my short and long game for the pure relaxation of it all.
I also ride my 2006 R6 and I stay in shape with my jiu jitsu. I'm also on other two similar Lexus forums and on my free time I read the DIYs and other useable tips for "upgrading" my IS300.
Ok, I guess that's it for now as an introduction.

I'm saving up for a Kaaz Super Q 2-way, but I have already Figs front and rear end links I'll install. I rather enjoy the full potential of how the IS300 handles before I even start to consider any mods for the motor. So suspension arms and links first, chassis bracing, respectable set of wheels and tires (absolutely none of that stretched tire look), BBK or an upgrade package similar to what Figs Engineering offers since they include a complete brake package.
The IS300 is a keeper for sure. My perspective on bimmers now is every Tom, ****, and Harry can now own a BMW...so unless you own something like an E30 M3 ok fine cool, but if you drive a typical 3 series or an underpowered 530, X5 3.0, need I go on? . I'd say BMWs are the new Honda.
Right now I'm focused on making the Aug 5th autocross event in Marina under the organization NorCal UFO. I drive like a granny on the streets, but once I hit the track......BURN IT UP. I'll take pictures of my progress and post once I organize what I'll install first.
Thanks for the greets everyone.

Welcome to the site. It looks like you've got a good idea of what you want to do. It's also a plus that you've found one of the IS300's best sources for customizable suspension parts--Fig. He has a LOT to offer. FYI, you might need to get his front sway bar bushing relocation bracket. Before I got mine, his front endlinks would have clearance issues with the front lower shock mount. It's mainly going to depend on what sway bar you have. If you have L-Tuned/TRD Red/Eibach (all the same bar), you will almost definitely need it. IIRC, people with Hotchkis sways may have been OK by reversing the bolt that holds in the front lower shocks. If you get his Mega Arms for camber correction, plan on getting his adjustable toe links as well. The OEM toe arms will be too short to compensate for the Mega Arms' camber adjustment.
Good luck with the build.

^ We are on the same page. I have the Tom's sway bars by the way and about Figs Engineering initially I was very impress of what he developed in aftermarket parts for the IS300 and reading his updates for example his newest version of the heat shield I am still impressed.
I also bought one of the last blue clutch damper device delete, but I think they are back in stock.

A/C Problem
Hey, I am new to the site and I have a question. I have an IS300 and I have an a/c problem. The thing is that when I start the car, the a/c does't work and the 3 passenger windows. After I start driving and going on high rpms, the a/c kicks in and the windows start to work. Not sure what it is. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forums.
As you can see from the sig, I have both a 240SX and an IS300, and I *used* to autox with NorCal UFO when I lived in Monterey. I now live closer to San Francisco and will be more active with SCCA.
I'm trying to see if I can make it to this Sunday's SCCA autox.
