Please can anyone confirm that the rear crossmember of the GS300 work with our IS300?

My cars came out of an accident and the rear crossmember is not perfect anymore, and I wana change it with another one, unfortunately I got my IS300 from the states, and we have NO first generations in Saudi Arabia... Its equipped with a 2jzgte, single turbo'ed and its my favorite car of all time... I don't wana sell it... for that small problem!

By eye balling the GS300's rear crossmember it looks like it would work perfectly! but I can't tell...

Anyone?

i can tell you only that the rear upper suspension arms from a GS 300-400 WILL swap over directly into the IS300 rear suspension subframe....

now,.... that may not be enough to determine for sure that the entier rear subframe would swap properly...... but it tends to indicate that it MAY in fact be possible....


i would suggest that you would need to measure the hard mount points of the GS rear subframe very carefully and compare those to the IS rear subframe,.. if you cant find enough pictures etc online to allow you to see that the design is the same so you can try it...

Saudi Arabia eh.... rock on brother!!! seen some CRAZY saudis doing CRAZY **** with on and around cars in that country .... must be nice not to be able ot do some crazy stuff like that & not worry about getting butt boned by the cops on the way to work, for having tint film on yer tail lights........Admittedly a purely heinous offense in the Calif. Vehicle Code....

Actually someone from another lexus forum said it won't work unfortunately for me, btw if you think saudi arabia has easy rules regarding cars, you should check my home country lebanon, we street race cops there, and cops actually come and watch street racing!
