Hey there club lexus. I currently have a single turbo powered 1jzgte MK3 supra. The body on my car needs paint, trim, and I have always loved the IS 300.
So I am considering swapping my set up out of my supra and into an IS.
I think the motor will be the easier part. So I am more concerned with getting the R154 swap figured out now.
Can anyone with experience doing this share what it takes?
Does the rear end in the IS 300 hold up to power, or will I want to put my rear end from my supra in?
I figured I would need a different drive shaft and cross-member at minimum, how does the speedo hook up on the IS? Is it similar to a MK3?

I never heard of a 1jz going into a IS how much power on that motor?? R154 will fit fine with a supra bell housing but that's with the stock 2jz motor so I'm not sure I have 2jzge on 14psi the rear is fine

Your rear end can handle 900hp. Your motor and tranny should slide right in with some parts off the is300 motor like oil pan and engine mounts. All you will need for your tranny is a new driveshaft from DSS and use your crossmember. You may also need an sc300 shifter housing so the shifter sits in the right spot. Other than that your good to go just wire it up
