IS 300 Sport Design With Genuine IS-F Rims
I'm off and had some time to try this out today. I'm sure a lot of you guys have already posted one like this. But here it goes anyways...

The simple body line of the 1st gen IS does not match the complexity of those rims. The cure for this may be a lip kit, preferably TRD rep to add more body detail. Then drop the car about 1.5"

I actually like it. I don't think I wanna mess the Sport's suspension. I do like your idea of adding a lip kit even though the off set sits perfectly and no noticeable protrusion from a semi-rear or semi-front view perspective. =)

put some mudders on those wheels with that stance lol, dude i have a sport design and trust me dropping it and adding better struts makes it ride better not worse wheels look alright but the stance is KILLING IT!

The wheel gap may be due to the angle of the car on an "uneven" road. Look at the other pictures and there's barely a gap. Click on the links for the pictures.
