Hi all.

Some know me as the gs430 driver from sweden and now when the GS is in the garage for some engine problems im about to get myself a new dailydriver.

A is200 Sportcross, Im about to go down to germany and pick one up in a week or 2. I have all service history on the car and it looks really good, But one thing catch my eyes,, Do this have the Limited Slip?? I read that on 2004 model the limited slip comes as standard! as before it was an option, But reagarding the tinted windos etc that it lacks of im abit worried.

Please help

In the US, for IS300's, there is a code that is generally B02A, B02B, B02C - right beside where it says A/TM...

If the car has an A for the 4th digit, it does not have LSD, if it has B or C, then it does have LSD...

I don't know if this works for IS200's or not, though, IIRC, most, if not all of the SportCrosses have LSD, though I could be completely wrong...

One last thing - the general method of jacking up both rears and if they spin the same way when you turn one and it has LSD, is not valid on our cars - Toyota OEM LSD's are Torsen type and still spin opposite direction - they only work when there is a load on them... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torsen

yes i know! the problem is that the car has to be bought unseen and not able to test it out myself! thats why i need some help to varrify it before going down.
