Default Some New IS430 Info

I have not responded on this site for a while. I came across some new IS430 info. Looks great, but hope the 0-60 time will be altered a lil bit, (5.9) is a bit too slow for a beast like that.

That is the TTE demo, test car.
TTE has no intention of producing these cars.
They still haven't succeded in making the SC on the IS430 run like it should.

This is what I heard from the people at TTE.

You guys will probably not see a V8 IS 430, but you might see a V6 IS 400. Lexus has been considering dropping in the 4L from the new 4-Runner, or the 3.3L V6 RX 330 engine. The 2JZ-GE engine is about to become a part of history unless they can get it to pass new emission regulations.

Stayed tuned folks, things could get interesting ...

toyota has already said that they are releasing 3.0v6 for aristo in japan, that means gs300 in the US will use the same 3.0v6 too. you think toyota will still keep the i6 in the is300? no way... and no, it's just too hard to get the i6 to pass emission, pretty much all i6 in japan are ditched now

that sucks considering my friend's machine shop sees quite a few toyot v6 engines in for surfacing heads and new valves and such. The i6 is a much more stout engine it seems, it'll be sad to see such a reliable engine go and be replaced by something of a lesser standard

well good thing is the 3.0v6 that's going to be used for aristo in japan will also be the same engine that will be used for the twin turbo aristo, one that gives out 350hp. so that might be a good sign of another strong engine. but then when something is new, it's always risky

that might be a good reason for me to get is300 this yr
