Congrats on the purchase!!! The only performance mods worth anything are intake (cold air preferably), exhaust and headers... These won't gain you much power wise though... If power is what you are looking for, turbo/supercharger is the way to go... Aside from that, sway bars, coilovers, good tires, wheels...

suspension is always the first thing on my list... set of coilovers and some sway bars will make that car feel incredible. I must add that you won't really get much HP gain off bolt-ons. If you really want power then I suggest saving up and going boost. I've spend thousands on my first IS300 with bolt-ons and in the end the only thing I was satisfied with, was the sound.

Personally I would get rims, exhaust, tint, and a clear bra to protect your front end. Hook up on a cold air intake and drop in the sound system.
