Smile Please tell me about your experience with the IS300

I am considering purchasing an IS300 and would like to know about existing owners' experiences with reliability and the dealers. Thanks!

Our dealer sucks, the service dpt. seems good so far, but I've only had it in 2 times, 1k and 5k checkups. The car has been great so far. As for the car itself, it's very quiet, has a great powerband, awesome handling, nice stereo, pretty interior, and beautiful looks.

I have had my car for over two years now and I have not had any problems with the car. The car has 35000 miles.

Love the car, have 12,000 miles and owned for about 11 months now with no problems, still looking around for the excellent Lexus service, haven't gotten to experience it yet.

Talking Buy the IS300!!

The car is very nice! I have 40,000 miles on mine, and NEVER had any probs. So, if you'll buy an Is3, you'll love it!

Talking I have test driven the car!!

I did like the test drive experience overall. The only thing that I wasn't impresed with was the shifting. Is that something you all have been able to adjust to?? I read the post about the drive by wire system and my car also has that. Maybe it just takes time to become accustomed to a new shifter??
Thanks for the posts! You all are much nicer and more mature than the AudiWorld folkes :-))))

Unhappy Princess, why so nasty????

I'm asking about people's experience with reliability. A test drive will not tell me anything about reliability. Think before you post!!!!

...I have owned two IS 300's my first was a new 2001 GGP, it had the following things wrong with it (auto shift problems,CV boot ripped sprayed grease all over exhaust, turning to the right first thing in the morning - you;d hear a crunching noise, center post had dent in it from day one, missing plastic pieces for front seats......and the paint is the thinnest around)......so I must have faith in Lexus to then trade this one in, and buy a new MSM 2002 - which I have had zero problems with...I almost bought the A4 or BMW 330i......but I had always wanted a Lexus

....what ever you're decision is Melissa, drive everything, don't lease, and ask for a car with less than 25 miles on it....bout' it

Default Smooth running

No reliability issues after 6 months of trying to break the car. The tires are almost gone though.

Oh, and the freaking dealers all suck. You'd think they recruited the salespeople from ghetto used-car dealers. I honestly can't believe how poorly they are doing. The satisfaction index will fall again next year - I gaurantee it based on my experience and other respondents.

I've had my Lexus for about 8 months and no serious problems yet.. Also Lexus of Greenwich Service is the greatest.... Nothing but great things to say about them...
