What a pain! Sticky dash... IS300
#17
So back in 06' I posted a thread on this (https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...dashboard.html) and after sending multiple letters and emails toToyota/Lexus HQ in Cali they would not take ownership of this common problem.
Long story short, I ended up talking to a local dealer (JM Lexus in South Florida) and their body shop said they could re-finish my dash (strip faulty material off and spray a new rubberized dash material on) for $400. I did it. The dash looked brand new and still does today - 6 years later. My recommendation is to visit a local dealer and negotiate with them.
Hope this helps.

showing pics of my carbon fiber 3m wrap install for the dash solution.
didn't prime or sand anything, just put her right on top.
been about a week and it's doing great.
easy, cheap... no need to take anything apart.

Going on 5 years! No need to add any shinny products that will only gunk it up again (paint is glossy)... just wipe it down with a microfiber cloth. Paint I used was SEM Flexible Paint http://www.semproducts.com/automotiv...ible-coatings/
