Modification to fit a US spec bumper on a Euro spec?
Hello everybody,
I would like to import a front bumper from the US to Switzerland. That's not a problem so far, but
I believe there's a difference between the US spec bumper and the Euro spec bumper.
The US is about 1 inch longer than ours, right?
What do I have to modify to fit the bumper probably? Is it possible to fit the bumper without
shortening the bumper itself?
I hope you guys can help me.
Thanks and cheers
Markus

You won't need to do anything other than removing the old bumper and putting the new bumper on. The US spec bumper is longer to accomodate the slightly larger 5mph crash bar. It's funny how peeps with the JDM spec front are going for the US spec IS300 bumper and US peeps are going for the JDM bodykits.

Hi Gambit
thanks for your answer. That really sounds good to me!
The reason why we (here in Switzerland) want to switch to the US spec front is very simple.
We just don't have any body kit manufacturer here, except TTE. So if we don't want to go with
TTE we must import US or Japanese stuff. It's a very expensive option but it's the only one
we have.
Thanks again!
Cheers

Hi Yemgi
yes, I know about Lutze Design. This company is very similar to Maxspeed-motorsport.com (located
in Switzerland as well). They import Erebuni, Veilside, C-west, Bomex and all other products BUT
the prices are outrageous!
For example: Erebuni Kit IS300 Model 927:
List price in the US: $993 USD
List price Lutze: 2985 CHF (about $2210 USD!!)
Import on own risk: about 1390 USD, plus tax 76 USD USD = 1466 USD, SAVINGS:
774 USD
Cheers and thanks again.
