Default fading interior of IS300

I dont know if anyone else noticed in their car, but i noticed next to the center consol on the passenger side the black is fading. (hopefully everyone knows where i am talking about)I think it looks horrible, and i dont know of anything i can do. Does anyone else experience this problem?

just a thought but do you put protective coating on ur leather like Meguiar's or Lexol?? they protect the leather from UV rays and its suppose to clean it and other stuff....try doin this b4 you go to the dealership and they try to milk you for soemthing else...... maybe ur leather just got dusty or something heres to sites to get a look at the products ive used them and i know a couple CL members that use them as well but you dont have to get these at these sites...walmart and advanced auto parts and most car selling product places carry them they run about 8 -20$ but its worth it!! heres the sties and let me know how it goes....

I think you better start parking your car in a garage or something. My black interior is almost 3yrs old and it looks like the day I took delivery of it. of course I clean and put protectant on my plastic interior and leather components.

IS300_Chic: Are you referring to the plastic trim that borders either side of the center dash? (the faux metal?)

What ever it is, it's not fading in my '01 (black interior). I have no covered parking at work, and it's in the hot Hawaiian sun 5 times a week! I use NOTHING on the interior (except for leather conditioner), but I don't put anything on the dash or plastic trims inside.

Do you have tint?

I have platinum tint (reflective), which I think helps a lot.
