First Lexus is a Sportcross
Hello everyone. I just purchased my first Lexus yesterday and I'm beyond excited. It's been years since I've fallen in love with a car that I've owned like I did with this one. So far I have no immediate plans for the car, just to enjoy it, but I wanted to say hi and I'm excited to be a part of this community.
About the car. It's a 2004 Sportcross with 118k miles on it and I drove about 275 miles to get it. The previous owner also owned a body shop and kept the car in immaculate condition. The car was brought back to life from a wreck in 2013 and unfortunately has a salvage title. Fortunately though, there was no frame damage and I'm exploring my options to have the title restored to a rebuilt status. I was told that the wheels came off of a 4th gen Avalon, and the previous owner cut the stock mud flaps off a toyota truck to fit under the sportcross. The interior is black leather and the seats only show slight signs of wear. The leather is a little stretched but there aren't any cracks except in the back passenger side where there are three very tiny puncture marks from the first owner. The dash looks as wonderful as you can expect out of an 11 year old car. There are only light scratches here and there across the console and there is no dash melt. All the spare tools and the first aid kit are still located in the trunk as well. The only thing missing that I can think of is the second key. All in all, I think I made out with a pretty fantastic car and I'm excited to see where this goes.
