Default Performance parts for new IS 300

Hey everyone,
I need some advice from you long time IS owners. My sister is going to be getting a new '03 IS300. SHe is intrusting me with a lump of cash to make is look and run above the rest. I have a Supra myself so I am familiar with the motor. To start with I wanted to know what type of intake and exhaust to throw on it, after that I will probably put an AFC 2 on. I was looking at the HKS Carbon Titanium Hiper exhaust with a custom pipe. I don't want something that is going to be too droney cause I know she probably won't like it. Also, do the cats go? We live in Fl, so emmisions is not an issue. Does anyone have this exhaust and can coment on the sound and performance? As for intake, I am unsure. I was thinking plane old AEM coldair. What are other performance/dressup parts you guys can suggest. I think the previos with a front lip spoiler and a hose techniques kit will be a good start on a sweet little IS.
Thanks

The Greddy Evo is deeper and has less drone than the HKS.
Cats are on the Headder (2) and the y-pipe (1).
The AEM intake has given alot of people trouble with stalling, I suggest the Ingen, thats what I am running.

I would go injen also and use the Safc to tune and make some decent power out of it...exhaust well that is the hard part... if you dont want the droning sound try a Ltuned exhaust..

Is there an L-tuned intake ? If not, which Injen model do you guys recommend ? I heard on another site that a few people who used Injen were having problems w/ their check engine light after installing the Injen intake. A few said it was rubbing against the engine hood... I have a 2002 E-shift & I wanted to change my intake & exhaust. I will definitely use the L-tuned for the exhaust since TRD/Lexus designed it. Question is the intake??

I've heard the SRT intake with ECU is the best intake for the money. I've also heard people having issues with the injen intake.

I've got the Tenzo Racing axle back. It's got a deep tone to it that is far from annoying. I've read a few posts about people removing switching the HKS hiper out because it does drone.

Just my $.02
