Default Going to pick up my car this weekend!

After 2 months of going back and forth on various cars (M5, M3, SC 430, E55, 996T, Supra, Viper, Z06, R34, custom turbo projects, etc...I changed my mind on a daily basis), I finally will be picking up my IS 300 this weekend...well, I will be going to talk to the owner; I'm shipping it back closed container. It has a bunch of modifications and I will be installing some more when I come back. One cool thing is with purchasing the car, I, hopefully get a free lesson on how to drive a manual car with a RPS Stage 3 clutch!

I look forward to joining the boosted IS 300 club.

Congrats Big Dawg on the ride! I had you pegged for more of a GS430 type but that shows you how much I know! Have fun in it and I can't wait to get back so I can check it out! Peace.

Richie,

Yeah, I bought Jarret's turbo IS 300. It has quite a bit of mods, but I want to add more.

Oh yeah, for those who are wondering if this will be a daily driven car, the answer is absolutely yes...rain or sunshine, this car is a daily driver. For people who does not know me, I do not drive very much at all. I did offer the car to other people to take it and just enjoy it for whatever reasons.

Richie, I look forward to seeing you again this year.

Oh yeah, I guess I'll pay someone to teach me how to "launch a car on a 1/4 mile" (assuming I can properly drive a manual). I guess PFS did low 11's on the 1/4 mile and I definately want to see if this IS is capable of not only matching PFS' time, but maybe attain a lower number.

um, ethan, you were deciding between an M3, M5, viper, E55, Z06, 996T and the BEST of all an R34!!!???? And you went with a Turboed IS300??? Any particular reason for this?

Ethan, couple of words of advice if you are going to drive it in the rain.
Racelogic traction control!!!!!!!!!

By the way, is this your 1st time driving a stick?

Richie,

Yeah, it is my first time (got a few practice sessions in with an RSX...stalling was my friend). Actually, I'm contemplating of buying an automatic IS and doing something to it. I originally thought it would be fun to own a manual; I find it fun just to mash on the gas pedal and GO!

futuregs,

Originally, I bought the car for my brother. He has other plans though, so...I dunno now. Another thing why I chose the turbo IS instead of all the other cars is, ding ding, reliability. I work a lot and I don't need headaches and hassles. I am looking at doing other exotic car project cars in the very near future, but for now, I want to start the car and go.

I'll update everyone next week when the car carrier comes and drops off the IS.

Ethan
