well just figured i have gotten the car for so long but still pretty much nothing on my car. so far i only have the tein HA and the daizen sways on the car. handling of the car is definitely awesome now, but look wise it still needs a lot of work, hehe... anyway, enjoy, hopefully soon my car will get some real meat

I'm running HA's. Pretty low, about 2.5+ F, maybe almost 2.5 R. I have them set at 1 click from the softest and its very comfy. Doesn't handle as well as it did when i had the settings more firm. But I'm more about ride quality then canyon carving.

rominl, HRE's sound sick... 840 series?

Henry, I definately want to check out your Teins since I went with the HKS. We both are using Daizen sways.

Mr who, do you have sways on your car?

Ethan, not yet. I wasn't going to get them, but now I think I will after having my HA's on for a month or so. Thinking about the Eiback/LTuned sways. I don't thinik I want something too stiff.

Sorry for threadjacking rominl. Back to how nice your IS looks

Rominl

How do you like the tein suspension. I am looking into some coilovers and I am trying to find some that feel like a stock ride. How would you compare the ride from stock?

amy:
the ride is pretty good. i am kinda used to stiff ride, so it's ok. the HA is definitely firmer than the stock suspension. even at the softest it's stiffer. and from what i can tell, setting it to softest would give you a pretty funny ride. it would be quite bouncy. now i am setting them at 5 in the front and rear and it rides pretty good. even my parents they don't have much complains with the setup so that's a good indicator.

ethan:
sure man if you wanna know anything about the combo (HA and sways) just ask. i have gotten the setup for a while and i have done some relatively crazy driving out of them so i kinda know their charateristic. we can definitely do some cross driving later on to see the driving feel, it would be a good review i think.

mr who:
nah, no 840r series for me. first of course it's too expensive, plus somehow i kinda like to see the bolts from the 3 pieces, just look more beefy for me. but along the line of HRE that's pretty much for sure, only the best as said in my sig

you are right about handling. putting it at soft settings it rides pretty good but there is more roll, putting it at stiff the roll is gone but you need to make sure you are on good grounds

also, you'd be amazed how much better the handling is after you put on the sways, it's really good, i was kinda shocked at how flat the car became

and thanks for the compliments

TeamStrykr:
if you really want like stock ride, you should get the flex, it's a lot softer and closer to stock. the HA is definitely on the stiff side. plus it's discontinued (i got the last set in the whole US) so a special order from japan would take 4 weeks. flex is about 300 bucks more than the HA

imho, i changed out the HA on my gs4 to flex coz' i want a better ride and it did miracle. for the is3 i tend to make it more sporty so the stiffer ride is no problem
