Default Aftermarket RAD

Hey guys I got a 2003 is300 lexus 2jz and I was going to be replacing the rad I was thinking of going with the koyo v2356 does ive read someplaces you need to get a different tranny cooler for this model and otherplaces that it should fix perfectly like OEM. Anyone know i'm mostly looking for OEM fitment with abit of performance boost.

Thanks!

aftermarket radiator isn't a performance boost for a cooling system that is properly doing it's job. What you're looking for is an OEM radiator. Save the extra money to spend on something that actually matters.

Is the original radiator malfunctioning/broken?

^^ The car would be overheating if that were the case..... unless there's some other radiator malfunction that doesn't cause a car to overheat.

I got a Koyo OEM replacement a couple years ago, and it is running strong. Unless an OEM radiator (or equivalent) isn't able to do the job, you don't need an"upgraded" rad. From what I've seen, you will only need a separate tranny cooler if you have an automatic.

If you do buy one of the all aluminum Koyo Racing radiators, those are meant for manual transmissions, If you are auto, you will need to run a transmission cooler
