too much oil
Hi,
So I've had my '04 IS 300 for a little over a year and have put about 10,000 miles on it and had 2 oil changes every 5k. In between those oil changes my oil was never low so after this last oil changed I irresponsibly slacked on checking it until today and it was almost bone dry. I added 3 quarts of Mobil 1 5W-30 checking as I went, and it seemed to be at the very top of the OK level. I got home and rechecked it and it is WAY above that now. So what do I do? I ruin everything.
Thanks

update:
so it looks i've had an oil leak for however long. Like I said, 3,000 miles or so after my last oil change, I checked it one day, and it was under the low line first and then bone dry the second check. I was only able to add 2.5 quarts of Mobil 1 5W-30 Full Synthetic until it hit the top of the OK area. My car is running smooth, no problems I can notice save for the car being a little creaky but nothing that's coming from the engine directly. I'm getting my leak fixed on Friday but as it stands the leak is pretty bad.
What are the odds I royally screwed up my engine? Should I just relax? There's nothing I can do now obviously but am wondering if I need to start saving up money for another car? ****.
