Driving the IS in the SNOW?
How well does the IS300 drive in the snow? Of course, changing the tires to all season or snow tires would help best. Has anyone driven in the snow with little problems of traction or spinning out? Would the LSD help in this situation?
Thanks for any advice guys.

Although I don't have a IS, I can tell you my experience with my GS and LS in the MN winter. I strongly recommend a set of snow tires if you want to drive your IS in the winter. I drive my FWD majority of winter.

go to www.thetirerack.com and buy a package with 16s and snow tires. I've done just fine in CO winters.

I have a relative with an '01 IS300 (has traction control, vs. the improved VSC that the newer ones have). Her snow package consists of Michelin Pilot Alpins (I believe 205/55-R16) on 16" Lexus wheels (package that dealer was selling for $1200, not a bad price at all for those tires and Lexus brand wheels). She's had no trouble at all in two snowy Cleveland winters.
