Question NOS install question

I have a buddy whom will remain nameless who is installing an 80 shot on his 03 IS300. Does he need some kind of engine management system to compensate for the fuel/spray?

Default

I would. I dont believe in adding any kind of mod without some form of tuning.

Cool NOS update.....times inside....

Ok we ran the IS on Wed nite at the track. here are the time slips and the jetting used.

Temp 92 degrees 90% humidity(left like 110% but we wont go there....)

1st motor pass.
2.4 60 ft
15.7 @ 92.50 mph This pass sucked because, we were 1st time at track with this car and I am used to an automatic not a manual, left the hole at 2500 rpm and bogged big time.

2nd pass- 50 shot
2.2 60 ft
14.67@ 95 mph this pass was pretty good, still bogged at 3000 rpm, but feathered the clutch and got is out ok.

3rd pass and 4th pass- changed jets for fuel/NOS -80 shot
2.10 60ft
14.10 @ 99mph both times! Nothing different, MPH same, 60 ft same, 1/4 mile time same....I hear a Sat night bracket car money maker coming up...LOL

5th pass- this is where it gets ugly.....Changed jets to 100 shot
2.74 60 ft
14.7 at 101 mph
We tried lowering the tire pressure down to 20 psi on street tires and leaving the hole around 3500 rpm. This does not work with a 100 shot, we spun the tires all the way to the 60 ft even after letting offf and getting back in.(mental note....need drag radials bad) The car feels awsome and now we have a base line to tune off of. Wait till next week, got a few more tricks up our sleeve!............. I will make this car run 12.9 on pump gas, without a turbo...wait and see.....it is coming. My buddy is really thrilled!!!!
