Default Question about Mods

I've got a 2002 IS300 E-Shift, and was wonder if I added so engine mods like a new air intake and better filter. Would that void my factory warrenty?

That would depend on the dealership service dept. If you try to go in for warranty work and they see an aftermarket intake, chances are they will deny you warranty service. Best thing to do is swap out the aftermarket intake in favor of the stock one when you go in for any routine maint. or even warranty issues.

well there is a law stating that unless dealership can determine your aftermetket setup is directly related to the cause of the defect, otherwise they can't deny warranty. so say you have springs on the car, and the engine blow, they have to warrant it. but if you have springs and the shocks die, of course they will deny it

he's right, you could just use a drop in filter for some power gains (TRD, blitz..)
get the PLP silent flow and get black couplings, i bet the dealer would never notice....
