trade your lexus in and get two neons!!! obviously you have never ridden in a neon to understand why it is a third of the price of the IS.

yeah! Neons SUCK. Besides, NEITHER of those cars were designed with much emphasis on speed....You'd think you'd have figured that out by now. Ones cheap and probably decent on gas; the other is an entry level luxury sedan....they are a little sporty, but no Ferrari. If you wanted a faster car, maybe you should pay for a faster car. You can get a used Viper for 20-40 grand....But even better, why don't you get an MKIV Supra twin turbo? Or a Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 TT? (AWD has its advantages...) and not complain? And why did you buy another IS3 if you weren't satisfied with the performance of the first? ahh i'm just *****y...and i wish I had your money.

If you're so unhappy then trade it and get a Neon. There are plenty of cars that cost less than a Lexus that will get you more speed if that's what you're looking for. Considering that this is your 2nd IS300, most people would think you would know what the car's capable of. Anyhow, instead of complaining, go get that Neon and beat all the IS3's, 325i's, and C230's out there. They're all more expensive and probably can't outrun a neon.

OK I understand as far as not enough HP but if you open your hood you will see a monster ready to get out, trust. Take your IS300 to go test drive a neon and when you get into the car you'll see what we are all talking about, IS300 = Luxury-Style-Class, believe me its important. Remember choose your battles wisely and feel free to mod.

Not quite sure what to tell ya man. I knew when I traded in my 12 sec Lightning in on this car it was not as fast, did not have the tire smoking , gass guzzling V-8 supercharged rumble, but I knew this because I wanted a better car in quality. The IS has a ton of potential in MODS which can bring you well in the 13 sec 1/4 mile times(easily can take a SRT-4 or a MP5 or a LS1 Camaro/Firebird). So stop complaining and do something about your cars performance..... I did. :-) I love my IS now, it is a total sleeper.

Hmm, I don't have a problem with the power of the IS300. If you bought it to be fast stock, they you get what you deserve. It was never advertised or meant to be a rocket. It is a sporty car, that has great handling. If you are un-happy with the power, then do what I did and make it faster.

Then the 3 series sucks, and the A4 sucks, and the C series sucks..... The IS 300 is fine stock, 98% of buyers don't care about high hp, so go buy yourself a Neon......

.....Yeah, I knew you all would be mad about the posting.....but really, this car is soooo under powered, and you're right, I should sell it......and when I do I'll miss the tight handling, and cool looking hood....but not much else.....I mean the car has hard plastic for it's interior....what up with that ?


However, what I buy next will be nothing like this.......something like a GIANT 2004 Ford F350 Lariat with lift and over-size tires.....I am so tired of the tiny interior compartment of the IS....and I have always wanted I huge truck, so I can tower over others in traffic.....

....just because some of you want so badly for the car to be more than it is.....don't be mad at me....I am simply pointing out what many try to not let themselves think about......


And for those that spend 6,000-10,000 in forced induction....good luck with engine longevity with that !

And don't speak to me about quality....the cheap thin paint that chips when a cricket hits the hood ? And furthermore, the first NEW IS 300 I bought.....had so many problems, I re-sold it to the dealer after 12,000 frustrating miles.....and I then thought I would give the IS 300 another chance, quality has been 'ok' not stellar though ?
