So I’m new to Lexus and had got an 2002 auto is300 in a trade and the car ran fine with no problems but it wasn’t daily driven. Went to drive it one day got gas about 3 miles away turned the car off turned it back on drove another 8 miles ran in the store came out and no power to the car at all. Tried to jump it wouldn’t work assumed it was a bad battery , so I towed it home used a battery out of an integra just to see if I had power when changed I did and started the car to make sure turned it off. The car sat without a battery for maybe another week , I go to sell the car put new battery in drive to gas station then back home and turned the car off , tried to turn it back on to move ut and again no more power but I could hear the alarm system. But no power to dash. I had left that battery in it , mind u I didn’t leave the battery I used to test it from the integra in it , I go buy another battery today put it in and boom no power , fuses seem good , wiring harness from my knowledge seemed good no chews tears or burned showing wires that I could see. Has anyone had this issue or can think of it , at first I thought it was the altenator but then I put a new battery wouldn’t I atleast get the dash on etc with a new battery.

Bad ignition switch. Not the key cylinder. The electrical contact part. Maybe, assuming that cables are good to battery and it is good.
