Default Ignition issue is300

Hello everyone! So recently after doing some work on the car I messed up and didn't notice that one of the coil wires went through the throttle body in which it arced and shorted. The engine was fine but after that wire started smoking I shut it off, repaired the wire and it wouldn't start again. I'm having no spark and no fuel at all. I have checked everything such as relays and fuses. ( for some reason my ign fuse does not get power) I also figured out that I'm not getting any voltage to the coils. Now some people might say it's an ecm issue but I have a standalone which controls the ignition and I hooked it up to my laptop in which it says connected. And I tried to output test every coil but I'm not seeing any spark. I have also installed a new igniter but no luck. Please if anyone can help me I will appreciate it! I been trying to tackle this for weeks!

Hello,

Here is a fuse diagram for your car, IGN Fuse is basically your Ignition Switch, without it, you won't get neither the spark nor fuel. That fuse is getting the power from the Ignition Switch, which in turn is connected to 30A AM2 fuse. If you are not getting power on IGN fuse at all, start by checking AM2 fuse, if that's good, you will likely have to dig into the steering column and trace the wiring from the switch to the fuse to see where it is loosing the power, here is the wiring diagram for your car.

Hope this helps and best of luck!

Default Thank you!

Thank you so much @Arsenii !!! I have looked at the wires coming out of the ignition switch and they seem fine but I need to dig deeper and trace them as you said! so these wires go in the direction of the ign fuse box on the passenger side or do they go through the firewall to the ECU?

According to the Wiring Diagram linked in my previous post, when the key is in the ON position, the power should travel from AM2 fuse to the Ignition Lock, and from there to an IGN fuse, going to the ECU afterwards. You need to check that you have power coming to the switch from an AM2 fuse, and then if the wire between the lock and IGN fuse is intact.

Hope this helps and best of luck!
