Default Issues with 2008 IS250

Hello all,
I am having a major issue with my 08 IS250 not running.
To start off a couple of weeks ago I noticed my car hesitated to start one morning and again in the afternoon. When I got home I changed air filter, cleaned MAF sensor and throttle body. After that car ran fine for the rest of the week with 0 issues until this weekend when I was driving on the highway and all of a sudden the car lost power. I managed to get it to a gas station to see if I could see what the issue was but nothing I could see so I towed it home.
While home car struggled to turn on but did turn on. Idling was very rough (rpm jumping up and down) and putting it in reverse or drive the car would shut off or have almost no power. I plugged in my obd2 scanner and it showed up as P0390 camshaft sensor. I replaced this but no luck.
after this I checked the scanner again and I was getting misfire codes so I replaced all of the spark plugs. During this process I noticed that I had very heavy carbon deposits in the intake manifold so I decided to clean upper and lower manifolds and valves in the engine. After a full day of scrubbing I replaced all spark plugs and connected everything and car starts up a bit better but when putting the car in drive the car again seems to lose power and I hear kind of a quiet popping sound coming from under the engine. I seems to happen every second so its not random popping noise. This only happens in drive or reverse. Neutral or parking doesn’t have that sound. Another thing I noticed is that if I rev the engine I can hear a noise coming from inside the engine. It sounds like something may be rattling inside.
Checking scanner again shows up as same code as before (can sensor)
Does anyone have any ideas on what this could be or something I could check myself?

Summary: Car lost all power randomly. Replaced spark plugs and found heavy carbon in intake. Cleaned ~90% of carbon in intake and valves. Put in new spark plugs and car still doesn’t have power and heating weird noise coming from inside engine when I rev it. Putting car in drive I hear a popping noice every second.

Could it be the catalytic converters? Mine was idling rough and was hesitant to accelerate, took it to a reputable mechanic and they're very confident in it being bad cats in the manifold and o2 sensors, mines still getting fixed so I can't comment on the results yet, will lyk!
