The frame itself is not made by Teyes, they are made by companies that specialise in this and supply to other Head Unit manufacturers too. And they only have LHD versions of this frame. Meaning the Drivers and Passenger temperature controls are wrong way round. I've managed to fix this by reverse engineering the PCB and swapping out some resistos to flip it around.

Was hoping you could help, i just got a teyes cc3 model b and need to swap the temp controlls to RHD (i'm in NZ), can you remember which ones they were that you did?
I'm no PCB expert but am a quick learning, so any help is appreciated.

Try this setting first and see if it makes a difference. My HVAC Dual zone controls were flipped in my 2010 RX 350 and this flipped them back.
CC3 Settings > General > Drivers Door Position <--- Switch this.
Mine didn't have factor nav so teyes has a different setup for us non navi people. it doesn't have any buttons on the left or right at all. But because of that the screen is actually 10.2"
Also the 2k screen gets rid of the capacitive touch buttons on the top left side to make room for more screen.
If there is any further interest I can take a bunch of pictures as I install it and make a post.
would love to see a post on this as my car doesnt have nav and im looking for a head unit as well!
I purchased a Model A headunit from TEYES for my 2013 IS350 (has OEM NAV).
The harness they sent did not match any of my connections, and the mounting bracket did not fit.
Not sure what the difference is for 2006-2012 2is with OEM NAV, but the 2013 (2is) connections are way different.
TEYES tech support kept saying they were waiting on their engineer aka vendor to come up with a possible harness for me.
I had to follow up constantly, they would not update me unless I emailed them. The purchase was made over a month ago and been waiting on their tech support for weeks.
I lost interest and told them I wanted to return multiple times, and they finally provided a return address.
Of course I will have to pay for international shipping from the States to Australia.
Just FYI for anyone who wants to purchase, to make sure to remove your current unit and make sure TEYES will be compatible before purchasing.
It looks like a very nice unit, and it's a shame it didn't work out for me.
So has anyone ordered one of the ones with the side buttons that match factory with the 2k screen. I like the idea of the higher resolution but I don't like the idea of the reset button not being usable incase something happens. Don't really want to pull my dash apart that often.

Where did you get the information from that the reset button becomes unusable? if you look at the photos of the frame properly, you will notice there are two holes (one for reset and one for microphone) you simply need to insert a pin into the hole for the reset and this reaches the original reset button behind the frame. The only thing that is unusable is the soft buttons like home etc. Unless i'm mssing something about the 2K screens. As far as I know the 2K screens dont have the soft buttons
And even if reset button was not accessible, taking dash apart to reset it will still be over the top. You just need to pull a fuse or disconnect the battery. Disconnecting the battery or pulling the fuse is how you would reset an OEM system anyway. OEM Systems dont give u reset buttons on each system.
With the 2K screen model the mic and reset are placed lower, the current frame won't line up properly. The frame will need to be updated for the 2K model which I haven't seen yet... at least that's my findings for my RX.

this is correct.. But if you are non navy like myself then its a different frame altogether and the two holes are not plugged.

That really shouldn't be a deal breaker for you. Honestly find the fuse for your radio and pull it if you need to reset it. Done and Done. It has been a few months now and i haven't had to reset my system once. Moreover, i have only needed to soft reboot it once.

It appears to actually be the same software the Teyes in running with a different skin, with more ram, and it is cheaper when you factor in the 2k screen upgrade. Everything else look identical including the fan and the optical outputs they have.

Yes most of these units are basically the exact same hardware wise and run android 10. But it is the interface that makes the Teyes the best (as well as quality control and testing of the units). I'm trying not to sound like a salesman here but Its clean smooth and they have the best tech support who will try their best to fix what ever issues you may have.
I was actually looking at Mekede units before Teyes but then i came across Teyes and I just liked the look of the interface much better. I definitely paid more but i do not regret it.

I do admit that's exactly what sent me in the direction of Teyes, the UI looked a lot nicer than anything else I had seen. As much as there is some support it can be hit as miss from my understanding and with my personal experience you need to stay on then to receive the support, if you don't continually message and ask any update you won't receive anything, the conversation will go dead. For firmware you may notice that these guys pump out more updates than other FYT brands, but this isn't necessarily a good thing as something may or may not be fixed and other new bugs will come out of the woodwork, I have read many times if your unit works decently for you then do not update and having followed Teyes threads for a while now I'd say that's good advice.
This may or may not be of interest to you... A member of 4PDA a non english speaking forum has developed a modified firmware to fix some of the Teyes bugs, it works great on my CC3 and I think I'll stick with it, but the interesting part is that member has extended compatibility for "MEKEDE M6 Pro/M6 Pro Plus" <-- these units may be cheaper than Teyes ? Depending how savvy you are and how deep you want to go with tinkering, this could be a good way to go as this firmware is the best I've tried to date, most stock Teyes CC3 firmware versions have had annoyances/bugs, don't get me wrong there are still some annoyances, though liveable. In regards to the firmware on Mekede I have no experience or read anything other than one member on XDA purchased a Mekede and is going to eventually try the firmware once they become situated with the unit. Another crucial bit of information is that there is a charge for the firmware, it's very inexpensive. You can find his website where you can contact the dev via Telegram the firmware is named "Vincent Vega Edition"
If you can register at 4PDA and utilize google translate they have a massive thread for CC3 which can be a huge help. (need to register to be able to download)
