Question Best Aftermarket Battery for 2IS 250

Battery is starting to go, gonna replace it soon. Anyone have advice on the best aftermarket battery to use with this? I have a 2006 Lexus IS250.

Thanks in advance!

Best would be a lithium or AGM battery. For my IS I went with a Duracell from Batteries+ with a coupon. No problems so far.

Our cars are better off with flooded batteries, and Interstate’s Megatron Plus is the best!

My battery perished a few months back. I went with a DieHard Gold this time. Seems to be the best around in specs on par with the Duracell in my area.

This! The OEM battery was Interstate; why not replace with the same AND save some money by purchasing at Costco.

Adding onto this for another Costco suggestion. 109.99 for an Interstate branded battery with 700 CCAs, vs buying from Interstate directly ($160+ for 750 CCAs, shorter warranty at 30 months vs 36 at Costco).

Why do you say that? Most people prefer the lower maintenance of the AGM.

The replacement batteries sold at Lexus dealers are made by Interstate, but the original battery in our (manufactured in Japan) vehicles was made by Panasonic.

No argument that the Costco battery is fine replacement, though.

My agm battery died on me pretty new. While researching after the alternator failed I discovered Lexus/ Toyota charge with a fairly low voltage than AGM batteries like. Solution since I cant stand normal batteries after discovering AGM's was to order a voltage booster that helps maintains AGM's. If you still install AGM's I would advice using an outlet charger every now and then to avoid surprises.
