Loud screeching noise coming when heat is on
Hi,
Sometimes on a cold morning while heater is turned on, there is this loud screeching noise that goes on until I turn off the fan. When I turn off the fan and turn it back on again, the noise goes away. This happens sporadically, mostly on cold mornings. Cabin filter was changed and the coolant levels are good. Could this be a broken blower motor?

Mine does this as well on really cold mornings. I usually have to turn the fan on let it does this for about 20 seconds then turn it off and turn it on again and it will not do it after that.
Your fan is old and needs replacement. I think the cause of this is the bearings in the fan are gunked up and on cold days it has problems spinning at first.
