Hello all, I just picked up a 2012 IS250 AWD for my daughter. I want to do some maintenance before hand it it over to her. I did some research but one online site says AWD uses different gasket/filter vs RWD. So I'm confused and would like ask the community. Here are my questions. Thanks, Glen
1) Which transmission in 2012 IS250 AWD? A960E or A760H or A760E?
2) What fluid type does the transfer case take and capacity?
3) RWD and AWD both used the same transmission pan gasket and filter?
4) How much fluid do I need if I remove the pan? I used Valvoline MaxLife ATF, does not work for this car?

A760H is a sealed transmission. It's a one piece transmission with the transfer case. You'd have to take it to the dealership for service. Unless you want to gamble with rendering your transmission useless.
There are a few methods as follows:

Read last pages of my thread here. By all means this is not the correct way of doing it for AWD. You assume all the risks in doing it as my method shows. DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Look at door sticker on your vehicle. It has the transmission code. Lower left A/T code. The pan gaskets are not the same.

Do you know the difference between A760H or A760E? One website says same gasket fits all three transmission. See below.
