Funny, even the pros didn't comment about the possibility that the issue might not be trans-related, that it could be a bent wheel causing feedback at certain MPHs. The trans codes COULD be unrelated. If the feedback you receive stays you at a certain MPH range no matter the gear you're in (test this by forcing the trans to stay in a specific gear via "manual mode"), then it's more likely to be a best wheel.
Good luck!
Adding to above - this trans has two different lockup modes for the TC. Regular lockup in gears 4, 5, & 6 and flex lockup when accelerating which adds 3 gear.
In any gear, depressing the brake drops it out of lockup. If you have the OBD Fusion App and maybe your scan tool, you can watch when it goes into lockup. Bottom right, status of lockup.
Prerequisites. Engine up to temp, shifts into 6th on its own, speed >44mph (guess).
hi no i don't think the trans fluid has ever been changed. i got the car used at 55k in 2013. im going to go with changing the solenoid per this video says its common fix for the p2757
I'm confused i saw two different videos for the p2757 fix. one person installed 35280-30050 Lock Up Control Solenoid Assembly and another person installed 35290-34010 Line Pressure Control Solenoid Assembly. on the same year 2007 is250 car.
So finally after having purchased the parts 11-11-23 we got them installed yesterday. Few hiccups with the parts ordered from lexuspartsnow dot com, the strainer assy, ATF filter did not come with the O-Ring you have to get that separately: (Lexus part 90301-31014 Ring, O). Also they gave me the wrong part for the trans. pan gasket, i needed Part No.: 35168-22020 and they sent in 35168-60010.
So we replaced both solenoids the line pressure control and the lock up control. Before the vibration had gotten really bad to the point i stopped driving it. Now the vibration is still there but it is not as bad seems to have been reduced. On my drive home few miles from shop it vibrated a bit. Today took it to work a longer distance 30 miles and it vibrated again slightly in 5th and 6th gear. But after a while and a long cruise everything seem fine, i made it to work and no shakes. i did notice something new, when going down from 5th gear to 4th it felt like it went in hard but random. So i don't know if its totally fixed yet, i will let you know as i drive it more on the new oil and see if it self fixes maybe just needs more driving time. I also think maybe another drain and fill could do it good.
(forgot to add 2008 IS250 RWD is at 170,240 miles)
Also no when going in reverse on cold start to Drive, it takes like 2-3 secs for it to engage on its own and move forward with out hitting gas. it jolts forward. this didn't happen before the atf oil drain and fill.
So i finally added the shudder fix which was recommended. i poured it inside the 1qt bottle since felt this was the easy way to introduce it in with out much spilling. i did just a drain and full of which 900ml came out (0.95 qt) so i added 1600ml back in (1.6 qt) since i felt maybe it was low as i had seen temperature readings go as high as 203 degrees Fahrenheit. i did not do the leveling bolt drain procedure since it was on my slanted driveway and it was not 100% level, but i tried as best to level it and used a tool to measure the leveling. put two jacks in front at the min. and then on the rear i raised it alot ill get a picture of this next go-round.
Anyways the results are promising now. i don't feel any more shaking/ shudder etc after going past 39 mph. i still do have the hard shift into gear when i go from park to D. and the down shift from 5 to 4 sometimes is a bit hard. going to drive it a bit more longer and report my findings and will also do another drain and fill and add shudder fix again. i have a A760# transmission maybe the A760E since its RWD.
What exact product did you use that you called "shudder fix"?
Thanks for reporting back and detailing what was done. As these vehicles get older and older, we'll see more and more of these trans-related issue questions/thread popping, The more documentation on what others have to correct their issues, will in fact help the community.
