Default IS350 oil changes with Pela oil extractor

Getting back to doing my own oil changes again, has anyone had good luck using a Pela oil extractor and pulling the oil from the dip stick? That worked great on a couple previous vehicles and helps avoid messes, but some vehicles don't have the dip stick reach the lower parts of the oil pan. If the extractor works, though, that would let me skip the drain bolt entirely and just extract the oil and change the filter.

So, how does this work on a 2008 is350?

For the relative ease of chaging the oil on these cars. I'd rather just turn some wrenches.

The only way I'd consider something like this. Is if my car was slammed, and a leaf wouldn't slide under the bumper.

I've had good luck with Rhino ramps and removing the drain plug. Since the oil filter is a canister (replaceable element) not a spin-on, you're more likely to make a mess changing the filter than draining the oil anyway, so why risk using a device that might not get it all out?
